Heartfelt Blessing for February 23rd: Plugged In

Plugged In

"The decisions 'what to do' and 'which way to go' should not be made; they should be discovered. Life is whole and complete, and even when you may be seeing it in part, there is always a right answer 'in the streams of power and wisdom' within. It is that in you that knows beyond your conscious knowing. If you lowly listen, you will hear the right word, and the directions will easily unfold. This doesn't mean doing nothing, saying Pollyanna-style, 'Oh, it will work out - I will just wait for a leading.' Remember when you plug in to a power source or turn on the light switch, there is no delay in the flow. Be still and know that you are in the flow and then move with it."

—Eric Butterworth

You may listen to today's Heartfelt Blessing Here:

Nothing can be more stressful than trying to make the right decision. Worrying that the wrong choice might very well ruin our lives can leave us both frustrated and frozen with fear. It is during such times as these that we would all do well to remember there is within each of us a guiding force, an infinite power that, when trusted upon, will override bad decisions made and rearrange all false steps to lead to good. We can listen to the still small voice within and respond to whatever nudges or urges it gives us, trusting that even if we have "mis-heard", all will work to our benefit. As Butterworth also said, we can "get plugged in and let this fantastic process work."

May you always be willing to plug in to the spirit within.

And may you always be aware that you are loved beyond measure and a cherished blessing to me.

Until tomorrow,

May your day be filled
with all things good,

      Dear Edgar,

Several years ago I left my purse in a shopping cart in the parking lot outside Wal-Mart. I didn't notice it was gone until after I'd driven home and had finished unloading my groceries and by then, over an hour had passed. I immediately called Wal-Mart to see if anyone had turned it in and was told that no one had. I was also told that all of the carts had been brought back into the store since I'd left so if it had remained in the cart, it would have been discovered by now.

From my point of view, the only other course of action left was to either resign myself to a lost purse or start blessing. I chose the latter (actually I'd already started blessing the situation the moment I realized the purse was missing). I blessed the purse, I blessed the person or persons who took it, I blessed Wal-Mart and all the employees, and I blessed and forgave myself for leaving the purse behind. About five minutes passed as I was blessing away and the phone rang. It was a young woman with a heavy Spanish accent who told me that her mother, who spoke no English at all, had found the purse when she took her own shopping cart to the cart stand. Not knowing how to explain the discovery to the people in Wal-Mart's customer service department, she had opted to take the purse home to her daughter who looked through it, found my identification and called me. The girl gave me directions to her home and in less than an hour I was back in full possession of my purse. I'd also made two new friends.

When we choose to bless instead of letting worry and frustration dominate our thoughts we actually send out a very clear intention for good. Some people think of it luck or coincidence, but it is really much more than that. It is making a connection with a universal energy field that taps into possibility and potential. And as noted physicist Fred Alan Wolf once pointed out, "Reality depends upon our choices of what and how we choose to observe. These choices, in turn, depend upon our minds or, more specifically, the content of our thoughts."

When our thoughts are centered on blessing, we are actually attracting the best possible outcome to us. That's because we are 1.) fully accepting what has taken place; 2.) forgiving everyone for any part played in the incident; 3.) sending unconditional love forward; and 4.) expressing gratitude for the experience.

The universe is one big energy field, Edgar, and we all live in it together. We are all connected. That's why blessing is so powerful. That's why it  truly is impossible to bless someone else and not be blessed in return.

May your wallet find its way home to you soon.

      Love, light and blessings,

      Kate

      Dear Barbara,

The part you are unable to see is you. We all have a tendency to identify ourselves with our roles in life. Often times, for instance, I find it easier to think of myself as Eric's mother, or George's wife, or Gloria's friend. This becomes such habit to us that over the years we tend to forget who we really are. Then when those we have so closely identified with leave us, it feels as if we've lost parts of ourselves. We feel abandoned and empty.  Without these roles we are so used to playing we think of ourselves as not enough.

The truth is, however, we are each so much more than the roles we play. We are unique and beautiful spirits, each and everyone of us, and we are fully connected to one another. In truth, we can never be truly alone. It is impossible.

Try spending a few minutes each day simply being silent, Barbara.  Don't try to identify yourself, or get in touch with yourself. Don't think of who you are now or who you used to be. Just sit silent. As thoughts come in, gently brush them away. Spend no more than five or ten minutes at this, and then the next day repeat the process.  Keep repeating daily, gradually extending the time you spend in silence until you are spending maybe 30 minutes each day in quiet stillness.  After a while you will become comfortable with the person you are when all the roles are taken away and you will begin to connect with Spirit. And when this happens, I promise you, you will never feel lost or alone again.

Thank you so much for writing, Barbara. I know I feel your pain and I am certain everyone who reads post will do the same and we all reach out to you with love and blessing. You are, at this very moment, in fact, surrounded by more love than you could ever imagine.

      Take care, sweet Barbara.

      You are loved,

      Kate

      Dear Nancy,

I checked from my end and the sound worked for me. Though the sound generator I use assures me it works on most computers, it may not work on all of them. Another possible explanation is that there is a delay of one or two seconds after pushing play and the sound starting.  The wait may be longer for your computer. I wish I could be more specific and I am sorry you were unable to listen to the audio.

      Thanks so much for writing.

      Love, light and blessings,

      Kate

      Dear Michele,

Yes, I have seriously considered a Heartfelt Blessings book. Right now I have several other projects in the works, including the Blessing Way Challenge Book, but once I'm done, may start on putting the book together. Thank you for asking.

      Love, light and blessings,

    Dear Kate,
Such beautiful and simple explanations on subjects being so complicate in real life (for no apparent reason), just broaden the mental horizons and uplift our hearts to higher level of being! Life is simple and thus beautiful... our minds -being bombarded by all kinds of trush everyday - need daily cleansing to restore its primal purity and function. I feel so blessed having 'met' you in my life! I hope to meet you in real life also... I am on the same track and blessing my country and the people around me, and the whole world. This is actually what we really need, all along!

God bless your kind and pure heart,
    please take care
    Love and heartfelf blessings
